SV1 is a three-legged wonder car
Quite obviously compactness and “green” are two adjectives that seem to be driving the whole auto scene. And even though you will see an occasional concept or two with a penchant for just extravagance, the majority of new designs seen to load up on looks and economy (in terms of fuel consumption). The SV1 does this and more. It combines a thirst for a glorious body with social and environmental concerns. The SV1 actually looks like something out of the comic books (easy to understand since it is but a concept) with its shiny body and three wheels. The vehicle is meant to seat two and is driven by a sole rear vehicle, while steering is delegated to the two front wheels. Australian designer Simon Colabufalo has provided very little by way of description, what he has been kind enough to do is provide us a lot of pictures, which speak for themselves. See several of these after the jump.

Peugeot + brings three wheeled eco vehicles to style
Squeezing itself in between all the two and four wheelers and a few three wheelers too on Ecofriend, here is yet another three-wheeler from David Vargas for the Peugeot Design Contest 2007. Named as Peugeot + (read it as Peugeot plus), it is supposed to be a fusion of a scooter and a car. Designed to run on a smaller electric motor, it aims to leave lesser or rather no carbon prints behind. From what I can gather from the images is that it is a two seater just like a scooter but with two front wheels for extra stability.
20 three-wheeled vehicles geared for a green ride
Quite obviously quietness and “green” are two objectives that seem to be driving the auto scene at the moment. We often see electric vehicles and concepts powered by renewable energy being displayed at various auto shows. Moreover, the rise in the cost of fuel has made auto makers think about possibilities that are fuel efficient as well. When reducing fuel or energy consumption is the need, the best possible solution is to let go of one wheel and make the vehicle run on three wheels. This approach helps aid in better mileage and doesn’t make the user sacrifice on performance and safety. Here are some of the coolest vehicles that run on three wheels for better streets of tomorrow:
